Green Triangle Bowl
In this piece I am juxtaposing decoration techniques found in traditional Nigerian functional pottery with a bright, glossy green glaze that is unfamiliar to that context. To me, the result is joyful.
Wheel thrown red stoneware clay decorated by stamping, carving, slip trailed dots and the application of small, incised coils. Glazed matte off-white with glossy, green accents.
7” diameter, 4.5” deep. A good size for serving a side dish or a small fruit bowl. Fill it with tangerines.
